Just an update....

Well they say when it rains it pours....boy is that an understatement...

So my computer got sick, we were able to save her, but she has amnesia, when I have a little more time I will have to transfer all my files and THOUSANDS of pictures back from the external hard drive....that I am very thankful we have.

In the midst of the illness she also erased all of my music....UG, now I get to download all my favs yet again from itunes...unless someone knows of a way to get around the certificate stuff...

So School has started and all seems to be going well.

Jarrett has gotten a good pace going in second grade and is learning that it isn't always easy, he hate all the homework, and well I am not too fond of it myself....

Jerin is LOVING kindergarten, but she is very studious anyway, so I am not surprised.

Jenna has started pre-k at FUMC and we LOVE it. So much nicer than the school the kids were at last year.

Jillie started MDO and I had my first day all to myself one Friday, I didn't quite know what to do with myself. So I bought a cup of coffee, a book and headed to the spa.....that is when the trouble started....

Trouble? you ask... well the book I happened to pick up was one I had been hearing tons about and was a little curious...BIG MISTAKE...

I am now an official member of the Twilight Addicts club....HOLY COW! I don't know if it is just the fact that in the last few years I have not had the chance to read much more than Goodnight Moon and Mr. Brown can Moo can You....or if it is just a total all encompassing amazing book series.

So most of my free time and much of my UNfree time has been spent with my head in a book lately. And I must admit by the end of tonight I will probably have finished the entire 4 book series, which I am sure my family will appreciate....




Hurricane Ike came though last week and torn up the coast, we were lucky and only got a day of light rain and a little wind. Our Porter House, however, didn't fair so well. The hurricane did not real damage, but the cold front that moved in the next day dumped about a foot of rain that resulted in about 2ft of water in the house. Good thing we have flood insurance....just pray they will finally buy us out and we can be done with that mess....I am sooo tired of the dang thing flooding every other year...

So that has been our little lives, in a nut shell at least.

Sorry no pictures at this time, but I still haven't reinstalled all of my software.
